It was an exciting day of action in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as Nasarawa United secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Remo Stars, while Bendel Insurance were held to a goalless draw by Rivers United in Benin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In Lafia, Remo Stars got off to a perfect start when Michael Ibe put them ahead in the 5th minute.

However, the home side responded strongly, with John Joshua netting the equalizer in the 32nd minute to bring Nasarawa United back into the game. With both sides pushing for a winner, JoFrank Isitifanus proved to be the hero for Nasarawa United, scoring in the 79th minute to seal all three points for the Solid Miners.

Meanwhile, in Benin City, Bendel Insurance and Rivers United played out a tense 0-0 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

Despite creating several chances, both teams failed to find the breakthrough, leaving them to share the spoils. 

The results leave Nasarawa United maintaining their position on the table, while Remo Stars will look to bounce back in their next outing. Bendel Insurance and Rivers United, on the other hand, continue their steady run in the campaign.
