The coach of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Nasarawa United, Kabiru Dogo, has insisted that the team will not give up, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Solid Miners dropped to the relegation zone on Saturday after their narrow 1-0 loss to Akwa United in Uyo.

The coach was disappointed with their inability to convert their chances during the game but insisted that the team would come up good.

" It’s a difficult start to the season for us, but we won’t give up,” Dogo said.

“It’s a disappointing result for us. “We created some chances and even had a numerical advantage at some point, but we couldn’t capitalize on those opportunities.

 " We will keep fighting. We will regroup and work on our areas of weakness moving forward.”

The defeat dropped the team to 19th position on the table.
