Ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, Niger Tornadoes have appointed Kabiru Suleiman Dogo as their new head coach, BENSports.com.ng reports.

The Minna-based club confirmed that Dogo has signed a three-year contract as they begin preparations for the new campaign.

The experienced tactician joins Niger Tornadoes after an impressive spell with El-Kanemi Warriors, where he guided the Maiduguri club to the final of the 2026 President Federation Cup.

El-Kanemi Warriors are scheduled to face Ikorodu City in the final.

However, it remains unclear whether Dogo will still be on the touchline for El-Kanemi Warriors in the Federation Cup final following his appointment by Niger Tornadoes.

Dogo's arrival is expected to strengthen Niger Tornadoes' ambitions as the club looks to improve its fortunes in the upcoming NPFL season.

His experience in Nigerian football and recent success with El-Kanemi Warriors make him one of the league's most respected coaches heading into the new campaign.
