NPFL: Niger Tornadoes Disband Football Academy, Sack Coaches And Players

Nigeria Professional Football League side Niger Tornadoes have reportedly disbanded their football academy with immediate effect, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The decision was announced by the club's chairman, Abdullahi Kuso, in a statement issued on Thursday, confirming that the dissolution of the academy will take effect from Friday.

According to the statement, the club has also terminated the appointments of the academy's management team, coaches and all registered players.

The move effectively brings an end to the operations of the club's feeder team, which has served as a development platform for young talents aspiring to break into the senior squad.

No official reason was provided for the decision, while the club is yet to announce whether a replacement youth development structure will be established.
