NPFL: Niger Tornadoes Pip Dakkada In Uyo

The second stanza of the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League season resumed on Saturday and it was a good outing for Niger Tornadoes as they got a 2-1 win over Dakkada, BSNSports.com.ng report.

In the game played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, the away side took the game to their host from the blast of the whistle and got a well-deserved goal in the 6th minute through David Okoromi.

The host almost equalized in the 13th minute through a goalmouth scramble but the backline of Niger Tornadoes did enough to clear their lines.

Jonas Emmanuel doubled the Tornadoes' lead in the 15th minute with a beautiful chip.

Okoromi almost scored the 3rd goal just before halftime as the Tornadoes returned to the locker room with a comfortable lead.

Dakkada improved in their performance in the second half but they were unable to breakable down the well-organized defence of Tornadoes.

The referee signaled for a penalty in the 94th minute after a foul in the box and Aniekan Ekpe was on hand to convert for Dakkada, as the game ended 1-2.

That's the second away win for Niger Tornadoes this season.
