NPFL: Niger Tornadoes Tactics Gave Me Headaches - Eguma

The technical adviser of Rivers United Stanley Eguma has admitted that the tactics and game plan of Niger Tornadoes gave his team a lot of problems, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The league-defending champions had to work extra hard before they could edge hard-fighting Tornadoes in Port-Harcourt on Tuesday.

While speaking on the game, Eguma said his defenders were on their toes throughout the game and they had to keep running and he further gave kudos to the players.

" It was a very tough game because Niger Tornadoes came with a lot of hope because they were unbeaten even before now this season.

And mounted a lot of pressure on their left and right to ensure that they were under severe pressure but they equalised through penalty and against the run of play.

I give them kudos for rising to the occasion and I must say that we didn't have a good game because their tactics were a big problem for us, their long balls affected my defence, they have to be on their toes and keep running.

We were unable to play our normal game but I gave my players kudos for getting the second goal", he said.
