NPFL: Not Our Best Performance But Victory Matters – Amapakabo

Abia Warriors Technical Adviser, Imama Amapakabo, has admitted that his side fell short of their best performance despite securing a hard-fought away victory over Kun Khalifat FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Umuahia-based club recorded a narrow 1-0 win in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 17 encounter played in Owerri on Sunday.

Suraj Lawal’s decisive strike proved enough to hand Abia Warriors maximum points on the road.

Speaking after the match, Amapakabo acknowledged that his team still has significant room for improvement but praised the players for their resilience and determination.

“It was not our very best performance, but most importantly we got the victory,” Amapakabo said in a post-match interview with Abia Warriors Media.

“I will commend my players for getting the job done.”

The win further boosts Abia Warriors’ campaign in the NPFL as they continue their push for a strong finish, with the technical crew expected to address areas of concern ahead of their next fixture.
