NPFL: Our Target Is To Unearth Richness Of Nigeria League - Davidson Owumi

Ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, the Chief Executive Officer of the league and Member of Interim Management Committee Davidson Owumi has once again stated their target, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

IMC is saddled with the responsibility of organising a league that will produce worthy champions and will be shown on Television. IMC took charge of the League after the contract termination of the League Management Company (LMC).

As the league kick-off draws closer, Owumi has said that a lot is at stake in the game of football in Nigeria.

"A lot is at stake and there must be the drive to unearthing the richness in the game in Nigeria", he said.

Rivers United are presently the defending champions of the league.

Ahead of the League kick off, a four-team pre-season tournament tagged Tingo-NPFL Pre-season Invitational tourney which will kick off today will end on Thursday with champions smiling to the bank for One hundred million naira (N100,000).
