Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rangers in Enugu, Plateau United head coach Mbwas Mangut remains optimistic about his team's chances of finishing the season on a high note, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Jos-based club secured a crucial win at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Thursday, boosting their position in the league standings.

Speaking after the match, Mangut acknowledged the significance of the result.

"This victory means a lot to us. We faced a tough period, but we are gradually picking up points," he said.

"Beating Rangers gives us more confidence to finish the season strong."

With this win, Plateau United climbed to 11th place on the NPFL table, accumulating 41 points from 31 matches.
