NPFL: Plateau United Thump MFM FC To Maintain Top Position On The Log

Plateau United maintained its position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table on Sunday with a 2-0 win over visiting MFM FC of Lagos, BSNsports.com.ng can report.


After a scoreless 20 minutes, the hosts broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through a low header from Mohammed Zuilkifilu off an assist from Anthony Sunday.


Haggai Kattou 35th minute goal sealed the win for the Jos based and ensured that they returned to the locker room with a comfortable lead.


The Lagos based team put up an impressive show in the second stanza but was unable to break down the backline of Plateau United.


The result ensured that Plateau maintained its second position with 48 points behind Rivers United who is yet to play it's game.


Meanwhile, Rivers United will face Enyimba international in the final matchday 23 at the Adoke Amasiaamaka Stadium on Monday.
