NPFL: Plateau United Vs Wikki Tourists Friendly Game Cancelled

The friendly match between Plateau United and Wikki Tourists scheduled to hold on Sunday 1st of January, 2023 has been called off following the two weeks break to be observed by all the 20 Nigeria Professional Football League clubs, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The 2022/23 NPFL season will kick off on January 8, 2023 and in order to start the league with positive energy and target, the teams went on holiday to resume few days to the kick off date.

This is revealed in a statement made available to BSN Sports by the Media Officer of Plateau United which reads, "The proposed friendly match between Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Plateau United slated for Sunday 1st January, 2023 has been put off.

This is due to the two weeks break embarked upon by Plateau United.

Plateau United represented Nigeria in the 2021/22 CAF Champions League before the team dropped out of the CAF Inter-Club competition.
