Matchday 24 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) kicked off on Saturday with impressive home victories for Enyimba International, Kwara United and Kano Pillars, while Katsina United and Ikorodu City earned crucial away draws, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

At the Bauchi Stadium, struggling Lobi Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Katsina United.

Tope Akande gave the hosts the lead in the 69th minute, but Promise Damala struck late in the 86th minute to snatch a point for the visitors.

Ikorodu City also put up a solid defensive performance, grinding out a goalless draw against Nasarawa United in Lafia to secure a valuable away point.

In Aba, Enyimba International edged Rivers United 1-0 thanks to Imo Obot’s 41st-minute strike, while Kano Pillars claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Abia Warriors in Kano, courtesy of Mustapha Umar's 42nd-minute goal.

Kwara United made the most of their home advantage, defeating Bayelsa United 1-0, with returning striker Wasiu Jimoh scoring the decisive goal.

Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars piled more misery on Akwa United with a 1-0 win in Ikenne, as Matthew Samuel found the net in the 29th minute.
