Rangers International Chairman, Amobi Ezeaku, has dismissed reports linking Technical Adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu with a departure from the club, confirming that the coach will remain in charge for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ezeaku gave the assurance while speaking with the media in Enugu, stating that the club's management is committed to supporting Ilechukwu in achieving greater success next season.

The Rangers chairman emphasized that there are no plans to replace the highly-rated tactician, who guided the Flying Antelopes to their ninth NPFL title last season.

"I will be direct as the young tactician will stay with the club next season," Ezeaku said when asked about the club's plans regarding Ilechukwu's future.

"I spoke with Ilechukwu upon his arrival with the Super Eagles in Portugal, and he informed me of some of the challenges he encountered. We have assured him that those issues will be addressed ahead of next season," he added.

Ilechukwu is also expected to lead Rangers International in their CAF Champions League campaign next season as the club aims to build on its recent domestic success.
