NPFL: Rangers Unveil 13 New Players

With the transfer deadline set to close in the Nigeria Professional Football League on Friday night, former champions Rangers International of Enugu has unveiled five new players, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes under Abdul Maikaba failed to secure a continental ticket for the 2021/2022 season despite producing an amazing start in the season.

Some players including former skipper Tope Olusesi have left the club and the management has chosen to strengthen the team ahead of the new season.

The Enugu-based club on Friday announced the acquisition of goalkeeper Ogundare Detan(3SC); Tunde Olaniyi (Sokoto United); Saeed Jibril (Plateau United); Jacob John (Tornadoes); Michael Ibe (Abia Warriors); Emmanuel Charles (Akwa United); Nwaodu Chukwudi (Heartland); Sani Shehu (Gombe United); Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim (Rivers United); Emeka Nwabulu (Heartland); Inemesit Sunday (Dakkada); Gabriel Innocent (Abia Warriors); and Reuben Bala (Plateau United) as their new players.

The 2016 champions finished in the 5th position with 56 points in 38 matches last season.
