NPFL: Remo Stars Settle For MKO Sports Arena As Temporary Home
Sampson Adedeji
Remo Stars have confirmed that the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) Sports Arena in Abeokuta will serve as their temporary home ground for the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The club disclosed on Monday that its Ikenne-based stadium is undergoing renovation works in preparation for the new campaign.
Meanwhile, the Sky Blue Stars are also awaiting approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to stage their CAF Champions League home fixtures at the Ikenne Stadium once renovations are completed.
Daniel Ogunmodede’s men, who clinched their maiden NPFL title last season after back-to-back second-place finishes, will face Comoros’ US Zilimadjou in the opening round of the CAF Champions League next month.
They kick off their NPFL title defense on Friday when they host Rivers United at the MKO Sports Arena, Abeokuta.
