NPFL: Shooting Stars, Abia Warriors Claim Away Victories As Enyimba, Bayelsa Secure Home Wins

Matchday 17 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) continued on Sunday with a blend of impressive away victories, dominant home performances and tightly contested draws across the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Shooting Stars and Abia Warriors emerged as the standout travellers, securing valuable wins on the road to boost their league campaigns. Shooting Stars edged Barau FC 1–0 away from home, while Abia Warriors claimed a narrow 1–0 victory over Kun Khalifat.

At home, Bayelsa United, Enyimba FC and Niger Tornadoes made full use of familiar surroundings to collect maximum points. Niger Tornadoes delivered one of the most convincing results of the day with a comprehensive 3–0 win over El Kanemi.

Enyimba FC also impressed in Aba, coming from behind to defeat Kwara United 3–1, while Bayelsa United edged Remo Stars 2–1 in an entertaining encounter.

Two fixtures ended without a winner. Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars played out a goalless draw in Warri, while Plateau United and Nasarawa United shared the spoils in another 0–0 stalemate.

Elsewhere, Rangers International and Bendel Insurance battled to a 1–1 draw in Enugu, rounding off a competitive day of fixtures.

Attention now turns to the final matches of Matchday 17, scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2025. Rivers United will host Wikki Tourists, while Ikorodu City take on Katsina United as the round of fixtures comes to a close.
