NPFL: Shooting Stars Goalkeeper Sends Condolence Message To Sunshine Stars

Following the attacks suffered on Thursday by Sunshine Stars of Akure, the goalkeeper of Shooting Stars Darlington Ovunda has joined the millions of Nigerians in sending a condolence message to the team, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The team bus of the Akure Gunners was attacked on Thursday by the kidnappers on their way to honour the weekend league game against Bendel Insurance in Benin.

Some of the club officials sustained injuries and the team's ball boy was shot.

Former Rivers United goal tender wishes the team a quick recovery.

"My deepest sympathy goes to the players and everyone at the club. 

I do hope for a quick recovery to those that were injured", he said.

It remains to be seen if Sunshine Stars will proceed on the weekend match.
