NPFL: Sunshine Stars Coach Rues Missed Chances Against Rivers United

The head coach of the Sunshine Stars of Akure Edith Agoye has said they lost two points against Rivers United due to missed of scoring opportunities by the players, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Despite playing at home, the Akure Gunners have to rely on a late minute from Ejike Uzoneyi to pick a draw.

During a post-match reaction, Agoye also show his displeasure towards the delayed tactics of the Rivers United players.

"For me I think it was a 2 points loss, looking at the game in the first and second half." He said.

He added, "Considering the chances we created in both halves and we have to rely on a penalty to score, it was not encouraging.

"We missed chances that will be supposed to have scored, Rivers United is an experienced side but I'm disappointed with their delay tactics, the way they played in the second half was not worthy of a Nigeria champions.

"I think if they are more open and not delayed, I believe we would have beaten them today", he concluded.
