NPFL: Sunshine Stars Upgrade Home Ground

Ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Sunshine Stars of Akure has upgraded their home ground, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The Akure Gunners are one of the teams that are expected to play their home game away from home after their ground failed to meet the requirements standard set by the Interim Management Committee( IMC).

The dressing room of the stadium has been completely upgraded while the pitch, deemed to be in playable condition before now has further been revitalised with some maintenance work.

In addition, the floodlighting system of the facility has been put in good working condition ahead of the kickoff.

It's remained unseen if the stadium will be approved by the league body.
