NPFL: Super 12 Winners Get N1bn Prize Money As Each Team Gets N20m Participation Prize - Owumi

The winners of the 2023 Nigeria Premier League Super 12 will get the sum of One billion naira (N1bn) as prize money, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
BSN Sports also report that each participating club will also get Twenty Million naira (N20m) while the runners up get Two hundred million naira (200M).
This was revealed by the Chief Operating Officer of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) Prince Davidson Owumi in an interview on Sports Salsas anchored by Mitchell Obi and monitored by BSN Sports.
He said, "The way it is going, some clubs are even more serious for the Super 12 than the Super 6 because the eventual winners of the Super 12 will win One billion naira only (N1 billion) as prize money. He added, "It has never happened in the history of this country. We are setting the pace and hope that with what we are giving back to the sponsors a lot of private sectors will come in to support the league to make it more viable.
"We are having a problem on our hands now because the desperation to qualify for the Super 6 and Super 12 is on a high and intense so as to get to play in the money spinning competition. Very soon, we should be swimming in billion in our football. For participating in the Super 12, each team will receive the sum of N20m. While the runners up get N200m.
"As for Super 6, we have matches from 11th June with three games per day with best of Nigerian football on display. Lagos football fans should come 9ut and celebrate with Nigerian best clubs on parade. There would be launch for a new logo, trophy parade.
The money spinning Super 12 tourney will involve the top 6 teams in each group A and B of the abridged 2023 Nigeria Premier League.
