NPFL: Team Is Still Work In Progress, Says Sunshine Stars Coach

The head coach of Sunshine Stars, Bobola Akinfolarin, has stated that his team is still a "work in progress," despite their 4-3 victory over Ikorodu City in a thrilling match at the Remo Stars Stadium on Saturday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Alao Dabani scored twice, while Liam Ahmadu and Promise Awosanmi each added a goal for the Owena Waves.

Akinfolarin emphasized that the team will focus on improving their defence in upcoming matches.

 “It’s not a bad result, considering we struggled to score goals in the first round despite creating several chances,” Akinfolarin told Sunshine Stars media.

 “As you can see, we managed to score four goals in one game, but we’re still a work in progress. We’ve identified our weaknesses and will work on them moving forward.”
