NPFL: Tebowei Blames Bayelsa United Defeat On Poor Officiating

After suffering a heavy defeat to Lobi Stars, the Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United Deprieye Tebowei has attributed their defeat to poor officiating, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The newly promoted club suffered a 3-0 loss to Lobi Stars in a Matchday 4 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League played at the Aper Aku stadium in Markudi.

Tebowei did not argue about the legitimacy of the goals scored but blamed the match officials for their defeat.

"I'm not happy that we lost even though they scored good goals, the match officials didn't perform well, is like putting one side against the other.

Right from the beginning even from the dressing room his reactions to us were like we are fighting.

You can not say you want to improve the standard of the league and referees are behaving this way.

They scored good goals I'm not arguing on that but I'm not satisfied with the match officiating and if we continue like this, we will never get anywhere", he stated.
