Rivers United head coach, Finidi George, acknowledged that their match against Bayelsa United became more challenging after conceding a goal, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, the former Super Eagles coach praised his team’s resilience throughout the game.

"We came here with a different objective, but after conceding, the game became difficult."

"We pushed hard in the second half for an equalizer, but credit to Bayelsa United for staying solid at the back."

"Football is about moments—they had theirs and took it well. Still, I must commend my players for their effort despite the result," he said.
