NPFL: Title Race Still Open – Fidelis Ilechukwu

Head coach of Rangers International F.C., Fidelis Ilechukwu, has maintained that the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title race remains wide open despite recent developments at the top of the table, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Antelopes missed the opportunity to climb to the summit after they were held to a goalless draw at home by Barau FC in their Matchday 33 encounter.

The result came even as Rivers United F.C. suffered a defeat on the road, leaving the title race finely poised heading into the final stretch of the season.

Speaking after the match, Ilechukwu expressed optimism about his side’s chances, insisting that with five games remaining, nothing has been decided.

“Five games to go, the league title is still open. Rivers United lost today, but you can never say what can happen. The most important thing is that we will prepare for our next game,” he said.

With the season approaching its climax, Rangers remain firmly in contention, as the battle for the NPFL crown intensifies among the top sides.
