NPFL: Victory Over Abia Warrior Excites Dakkada FC Stand-In Coach

The stand-in manager of the Nigeria Professional Football League side Dakkada FC, Daniel Japhet is excited after steering the Uyo based club to a victory over the visiting Abia Warrior, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The rescheduled game of the Matchday 28 between both clubs was played on Wednesday and it was Dakkada that carried the day with a 2-1 win.

During his post-match reaction, the coach said they had a plan coming into the game and it worked out for them at the end.

"We had a game plan while coming into the game and unfortunately it didn't work out earlier in the game.

"Right from the blast of the whistle we were focused and tried to play our game, when they were a man down we tried to bring in more attackers to try and push them back to their half and it worked for us.

"It was amazing a game that we all need to be happy about," he said.

Aniekan Ekpe's 11th minute penalty and Edidong Friday's 89th minute strike handed them the win while former NPFL top scorer Godwin Obaje scored Abia Warrior's only goal.
