Wikki Tourists head coach, Abdu Maikaba, has expressed disappointment following his team’s 2-1 defeat to El Kanemi Warriors in Borno, insisting that his side did not deserve to lose the encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The newly promoted side put up a spirited performance but were edged out by the hosts, who secured all three points in front of their home fans.

Speaking after the match, Maikaba praised his players for their effort and attitude, while lamenting their inability to secure at least a draw.

 “We played very well and deserved more from this game. I commend my players for their fighting spirit and determination,” he said.

“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t get at least a point.”
