Enyimba International coach George Finidi has said failure to take their chances, especially in the first half cost them the game, BSNsports.com.ng understands.
After posting a strong performance in the matchday 24 against Nasarawa United, the People's Elephant fell 2-0 to Shooting Stars on matchday 25 in Ibadan.
While speaking to the press, former Nigeria international explained that they have chances in the first half but quickly resolved to bounce back in the next game.
"It is very sad to lose, it's a game where I think we should score goals, we had some opportunities in the first half, even in the second half but we didn't take it.
I think the game was lost in the first half, in the first 25minute.
They scored two goals, but we didn't take our opportunities and see how the second half went, there were delaying tactics and the tempo of the game dropped.
If we defend well in the first half, we would have taken something home," he said.
