Rivers United head coach Stanley Eguma has accepted the defeat of his team to Wikki Tourist of Bauchi, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The league leader on Sunday suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Wikki Tourist, a loss that reduced their points to 7 ahead of their closest challenger Plateau United.

During a post-match reaction, Eguma commended the Wikki Tourist team and further said they will go back and correct their mistake.

" It was a good game though we lost, I think we took it in good faith.

"We have lost and we have to go back and work on it. It's one of those things, you win or lose, we will go back and correct our mistakes.

"I commend the Wikki team for the victory, like always say the league is not yet over because we must play all the games and it is at the end that will know how many points we have, the race is still on," he stated.
