Nigeria Premier Football League side Kun Khalifat FC defender Gabriel Lekan has expressed strong belief in the team’s ability to avoid relegation as the season approaches its decisive phase, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Kun Khalifat are currently languishing in the relegation zone, but Lekan remains confident that the squad possesses the resilience and quality needed to retain their top-flight status

“I believe our team is focused on relentless effort as we gain more mental strength and also learning from our failures to achieve greatness,” Lekan stated.

The defender further emphasized the players’ commitment to the club and its supporters.

“We have an exciting team that is willing to fight for the badge, for the supporters till the end and retain our NPFL status,” he added.

Kun Khalifat will take on Niger Tornadoes in their matchday 27 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday, a fixture seen as crucial in their battle against the drop.
