NPFL: Why I Dumped Bendel Insurance - Former Nigerian International

Former Nigerian junior international Ambrose Vanzekin has explained the reason he left the job of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Bendel Insurance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Vanzekin has been working as a goalkeeper trainer with the Benin Arsenal in the past season but he decided to part ways with the club this season. While discussing with Naija Footballers' on Instagram, the Dream Team goalkeeper said he was being paid a peanut. " I have resigned from Bendel Insurance as a goalkeeper trainer. " I tendered my resignation letter on the 4th of September after I gave them 4 weeks notice. " I was being paid N75, 000 monthly and collected it for almost 3 years. " When the whole board was changed, they said they increased my money to N250, 000 on paper but not changed. " Players are being paid N500, 000, to N700,000 while I was getting a peanut. " I was really struggling and was not easy for me", he said. Vanzekin was part of the Flying Eagles team to the 2005 U20 FIFA World Cup in Netherlands and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
