NPFL: Wikki Tourists Compound Remo Stars Woes, Barau FC Hold Warri Wolves In Ozoro

Wikki Tourists deepened the struggles of Remo Stars with a hard-fought 2-1 victory in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) clash, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Jonathan Mairiga handed Wikki the lead in the 10th minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse to put the hosts ahead. 

The momentum remained with Wikki, and Hassan Musa doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time (45+1’) to give his side a comfortable cushion going into the break.

Remo Stars improved after the interval and pulled one back in the 82nd minute through Samson Olasupo, setting up a tense finale. 

However, Wikki Tourists held firm to secure maximum points and further compound Remo Stars’ recent woes in the league.

In the other fixture, Warri Wolves were held to a goalless draw by Barau FC in Ozoro. 

Despite efforts from both sides, neither team could find the breakthrough as the encounter ended 0-0, with the spoils shared at full time.
