Wikki Tourists FC management has formally acknowledged and accepted the resignation of head coach Abdu Maikaba, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Maikaba tendered his resignation letter on Monday, following a run of inconsistent results that have affected the club’s performance in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The decision came shortly after Wikki Tourists were held to a dramatic 4–4 draw by Katsina United in their most recent league fixture, a result that further intensified pressure on the technical crew.

In a brief statement, the club confirmed that Maikaba’s resignation had been accepted, while appreciating his efforts and services during his time with the Bauchi-based side.

Wikki Tourists are expected to announce an interim coaching arrangement in the coming days as the club looks to stabilise its campaign and improve results in the league.
