NPFL: Zubairu Poised To Become Plateau United’s New Coach

Aliyu Zubairu is set to replace Mbwas Mangut as the technical adviser of Plateau United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Zubairu is currently in advanced discussions with the Jos-based club to assume the role.

Although Mangut still has a year remaining on his contract, the club’s management has opted to make a change on the technical bench ahead of the new season.

Zubairu recently confirmed his departure from fellow Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side, El-Kanemi Warriors, where he spent the last two seasons.

The promising young tactician also serves as the head coach of Nigeria's U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles.

Plateau United concluded the previous NPFL campaign in seventh place.
