Precious Oham
Kennedy Boboye of Sunshine Stars said he is delighted with the performance of his players in the one-nil win over Rivers United in a rescheduled match day 27 NPFL encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Owena Whales got the better of the Pride of Rivers in a keenly contested tie at the Akure Township Stadium with Ibrahim Yusuf getting the only goal to seal the victory for his side.
In his post-match thoughts, Boboye said his players fought hard for the three points adding that attention has been shifted to their upcoming fixtures.
"It's just for us to keep working because we just started. The boys fought hard to get this three points. This one is done and dusted. Our next target is to think of the Federation Cup.
"After that, we will play against Bendel Insurance. It's another big game. We don't have anything short of winning in all these games but think of something we can get to add to what we have.
"I am very impressed with their performance because they have been doing wonderfully well. Our problem is about goals scoring and we will keep working and pushing on it."
Despite the narrow victory, Sunshine Stars are still in the relegation zone in 17th place with 39 points.
