NPFL 24: Christian Obi Turns To God For Heartland Relegation Survival

Heartland FC head coach, Christian Obi, has handed the club's relegation survival in the 2023/2024 NPFL season into God's hands, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Naze Millionaires got the better of Gombe United 3-0 in a Match Day 33 encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. 

In his post-match thoughts, Obi was asked about the chances of Heartland escaping the drop and he said: "With God all things are possible."

According to him, the short break affected the performance of his players despite securing the maximum points. 

"The long break affected the team. How we prepared before now didn't play out here. We prepared very well but maybe the break had a toll on them but we will knock it off."

Despite the victory, Heartland are still stuck bottom in the 19th position with 32 points.
