NPFL 24: Draw Against Rivers United Worries Kabiru Dogo
Precious Oham
The Technical Adviser of Kwara United, Kabiru Dogo has expressed worry over the poor home results in the ongoing 2023/2024 NPFL season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
He stated this after Kwara United's goalless draw with Rivers United in their NPFL Matchday 23 rescheduled game in Ilorin on Thursday.
Dogo noted that the visitors were lucky to have escaped with a draw, giving the dominance of his boys in the game where the lack of clinical finishing didn’t help their goal onslaughts upfront.
While stating that his team performed impressively against the Pride of Rivers, Dogo lamented how the team has had some difficulties in getting desired results at the home ground.
"It’s a game that we worked on and planned to get three points because of the value and what we have achieved on the road so far.
"Anybody that knows the team will know that we have progressed very well, but we are always finding it difficult to get the desired results at home- that’s football because it’s one of those things. We accept it in good faith and Rivers are lucky to escape with a draw.
"I believe the team is improving every day. What we have achieved outside, we have not achieved it at home but we continue to pray for success in the home ground."
Kwara United are now sitting 13th on the log with 41 points while the team will play against Warri Wolves in round 32 of the President Federation Cup in their next game.
