NPFL 24: Heartland FC Celebrate Christmas with Recuperating Nwakanma

The management, players and technical crew of Heartland FC paid a surprise visit to their injured goalkeeper, Edwin Nwakanma who is recuperating from the surgery done to him recently in Owerri, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The team led by the club's General Manager, Promise Nwachukwu assured Nwakanma of government's support insisting that the Club in sync with the Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Honourable Emeka Okoronkwo is perfecting plans to get him back to training in the shortest possible time.

According to the Representative of the General Manager, Mr Casmir Mbachu, who is the club's Coordinator, Heartland has always taken care of its injured players insisting that Nwakanma's case will not be an exception.

"Heartland is one big family where an injury to one is an injury to all , If the Club took care of Joshua Dare, Daniel Odeh and other players that were injured earlier then why will Nwakanma's case be different?"

The General Manager called on all football Stakeholders in the State to unite and support Heartland FC he bemoaned the actions of meddlesome interlopers whose lust for relevance and power are trying to derail and embarrass the Government through their propaganda and pull him down syndrome.

The Soft Spoken Heartland FC Technical Adviser, Kennedy Boboye also reassured the injured goalkeeper that the entire team are standing with him in this trying moments promising that the team won't desert him in his vulnerable state 

Reacting Nwakanma expressed his appreciation to his teammates and Management for the Visit.

"I lack words to describe how I feel seeing all of my teammates, I sincerely want to Thank all of you especially our New Technical Adviser Coach Kennedy Boboye, his words of encouragement has helped me a lot. 

He also thanked the Management for her support while asking for more support to get him back on the pitch.

The visit ended with a word of prayer from Clement Ogbobe asking God for Divine Healing and protection to the Heartland Family.

Heartland will battle Remo Stars this Thursday December 28th at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
