NPFL 24: Kano Pillars Ace Abdullahi Scores Five To Compound Gombe United Woes

Kano Pillars sensation, Yusuf Abdullahi scored five goals for Kano Pillars to compound the woes of relegation-threatened Gombe United in a MatchDay 11 fixture of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Abdullahi achieved the great feat before the hour mark of the game as he single-handedly ripped Gombe United 5-2 away from home in Pantami.

Recall that Emem Eduok of the defunct Dolphins FC scored six goals against Nembe City in 2014 to record a similar individual performance in Nigerian top-flight football. 

The lanky attacker got his hat-trick before the 33rd minute to restore Pillars' two-goal lead before adding the fourth inside the 13 minutes added for stoppages to restore their two-goal cushion.

At the stroke of an hour in the game, Abdullahi scored his fifth of the game as fans stood in awe at the Pantami Stadium for a great spectacle of football by an individual.
