NPFL 24: Lobi Stars Will Keep Pushing For Continental Ticket - Agagbe
By Precious Oham
Lobi Stars Head Coach, Eugene Agagbe has said his team will keep pushing to secure a continental ticket at the end of the season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.Â
Speaking after his side defeated Niger Tornadoes 1-0 in Match Day 16 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Agagbe noted that they won't relent in their spirited efforts to end the season on a note that will earn the team a continental ticket.
He hailed his players for putting up a great performance against their opponents and playing to instructions.
“We have to work harder to get to where we want to be. The boys showed character in their continued push in the match against Tornadoes today.
“As we get close to the end of the first stanza of the season, the team needs to be in a comfortable position on the log for confidence when the second stanza resumes.
“We will be in Ilorin for our next match and I hope we will have a good game against Kwara United there. They lost in their today’s match and will hope to do better at home. But my boy’s stability gives me confidence wherever we go to play."
Lobi Stars, with the victory Thursday in Lafia, still maintain their second position on the log with 29 points from 16 matches played. They are only behind Remo Stars on goal difference of 9 to 4.
