NPFL 24: Obi Resumes Duty as Heartland Coach

Reports from the camp of Heartland FC indicates that Christian Obi has resumed duty as head coach of the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

It was gathered that Obi addressed players of the Naze Millionaires on Sunday.

Recall that the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma last Thursday ordered the reinstatement of the veteran tactician leading to the departure of coach Kennedy Boboye.

Also, it was gathered that both coaches couldn’t agree to work together during their meeting with the Imo state Commissioner of Sports, Emeka Okoronkwo, in his office.

Boboye had led Heartland to three wins, an away draw and three losses while the club failed to register a single win in nine matches under Obi before he was sacked.
