NPFL 25: Abia Warriors Battle Ready For Bayelsa United - Nwoburuoke

As the second round of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season gets underway this weekend, Abia Warriors centre back, Collins Nwoburuoke, has revealed that they are battle-ready for Bayelsa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abia Warriors will welcome Bayelsa United at the Umuahia Township Stadium for another epic showdown on Saturday, 25th January 2025.

The Warriors, who had a strong first-round finish, will look to consolidate by taking a further upward trajectory against a side they beat in their backyard in the reverse fixture.

He said: "The Warriors are very prepared because we went there to get three points, and I know they will come here to get their pound of flesh, but it's not going to be an easy one because we are all ready for the Bayelsa United game."

The Abia Warriors defence marshal, who started all 19 games for Umu Chineke in the first round of the season, also promised to give his utmost for the Warriors as expectations are high.

"I think this second round I will give them more because, I'm not under pressure, and now I have to give my best. Even when I gave 50 percent in the first round, I had to top it again to another 50 (percent) because I knew what they were expecting from Collins Nwoburuoke. So, it's going to be an all-out second round for me."
