NPFL 25: Abia Warriors Goalkeeper Anticipates Tough Kwara United Clash

Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Nmecha Johnson said he is anticipating a tough clash with Kwara United in a match day 26 NPFL encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Speaking ahead of the midweek tie in Ilorin, the goalkeeper expressed optimism that his side will pick a good result against Kwara United. 

"It's not going to be an easy game, because we know what we came here for or what we're here for. So, it's not going to be easy. Kwara United are a good side, and looking at where they are on the table, I think it's not going to be an easy game, it's going to be a very tough game which we are very, very prepared for."

The hosts are tutored by the former Assistant Coach of Abia Warriors, Tunde Sani.They also have in their ranks former Abia Warriors players, Ozor Philip and Jimoh Gbadamosi, and Nmecha is relishing the prospect of playing against his former teammates.

"...It's a normal thing, it's football so, players come and go, you get to meet a lot of people and you play games. I know the kind of quality they have so, we are very, very prepared, and we are looking forward to meeting them again."

Abia Warriors are currently occupying the 4th position on the NPFL table, whereas, Kwara United are occupying the 10th position.

The Warriors will play against Kwara United on Wednesday, the 26th of February 2025, at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin by 4pm local time .
