Ahead of the much anticipated Abia Derby between Abia Warriors and Enyimba International at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday, Abia Warriors combatant midfielder Ojonugwa Adejoh has shared his thoughts on the epic encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the Kogi-State-born midfielder, Umu Chineke is prepared to lock horns with their elder brother in the Matchday 12 fixture of the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League.

Adejoh expressed optimism that Abia Warriors will get the better of the People's Elephant, their recent back-to-back losses notwithstanding.

"Abia Warriors is prepared one hundred percent, because in our last two games, we did not have the required results so, coming into this game, we have been putting in work every day to get the three points", he said.

The midfielder also stated that the Warriors will fight for the three points at stake, as it will improve their standing on the league table.

 "I believe that it's a football game, in every game, we approach it differently. Yes, with all due respect to Enyimba Football Club coming into this game, Abia Warriors Football Club is one hundred percent ready, and we are not going to leave any stone unturned, we are going to come all out to get the three points because the three points are going to take us up in the ladder of the league and will also boost our confidence level," he said.

Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia will engage Enyimba on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, in an epic derby clash.
