NPFL 25: Abia Warriors Will Bounce Back - Nwoburuoke Assures Fans
Precious Oham Abia Warriors centre-back Collins Nwoburuoke has said that the team is looking forward to redeeming its battered image with a good performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Abia Warriors and Plateau United will face off in a Match Day 8 fixture of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League.
Umu Chineke lost 3-0 to Nasarawa United in Lafia in a mid-week game, a result that came as a shock to the teeming fans and supporters of the club and Nwoburuoke while speaking with the club's media, assured them of victory in the next league game.
"First of all, I'd like to say it wasn't the result we were expecting because we put our all in that game. It's football, and I'm saying to Abia Warriors fans that in our next game, we are going to do better. I'm assuring them that in our next game, we are going to get the points back. They should believe in us; they should trust us." he said.
The Ikwerre-born defender also stated that the mood in the camp is quite positive.
"I spoke to some of the players, and everybody is in high spirits because we have to get the job done in our next game."
Abia Warriors will host Plateau United at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday, 20th October 2024, with kick-off time at 4 pm.
