NPFL 25: Bosso Targets First Victory With Bayelsa United, Calls for Calm

On Sunday at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, Bayelsa United will face Plateau United in the 6th Matchday of the Nigeria Premier Football League, reports BSNSports.cim.ng.
The Prosperity Boys will be looking for their first win in the current NPFL campaign, following a draw last weekend against Nasarawa United at the Lafia Township Stadium.
United is currently in 18th place, with two losses and three draws in five games, while the visitors, Plateau United, are in 5th place with the same number of games and eight points.
In the previous season, Plateau United lost 3-2 to Bayelsa United, with goals from Wisdom Magbisa, Tekena Garando, and John Bassey on 41, 43, and 59 minutes, resulting in a victory for Bayelsa United.
On December 17th, 2023, at the new Jos Stadium, Plateau United defeated Bayelsa United 5-1, with Albert Hilary scoring a hat-trick, and Silas Nenrot and Izuchukwu Chimezie also finding the net, while Ekeson Okorie scored a consolation goal for Bayelsa United.
Ladan Bosso, the Technical Adviser of Bayelsa United, mentioned in a post-match interview that the team is gradually improving after the first five games, and the fans should expect a better performance as the season progresses.
According to him, he has observed the problem in the team and that he was working towards fixing it to change the fortunes of the team describing the team's current situation as temporary.
He appealed to the fans to be patient with the team and that positive results would soon start coming as the league progressed, saying that he was concerned about the results.
