NPFL 25: Godwin Obaje Pledges More Goals For Rangers.

Returnee Enugu Rangers striker, Godwin Obaje has made a promise to the team, pledging to keep scoring goals for the Coal City Flying Antelopes in the 2924 / 2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), reports BSNsports.com.ng.

It will be recalled that in a week 10 NPFL Match between Enugu Rangers and Nassarawa United, played on Sunday, 3rd November 2024, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium (The Cathedral) in Enugu, it was Godwin Obaje's second game for Rangers in this current NPFL season, following his return from Oman about a month ago.

The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah top striker, was full of Joy after the match against Nassarawa United, celebrating his two goals exploits in his first game for Enugu Rangers, as his goals secured a much expected victory for Enugu Rangers in the explosive encounter.

"I am very happy about the game today, being the scorer of the goals that gave us, Rangers victory and the maximum three points at stake.

"I am even more delighted to have scored twice in my first game for Rangers in this season", Obaje said.

"I feel very very happy and I pray to continue doing more for the team, the 29 years old reliable striker added.

Godwin Obaje is an experienced striker, with a wealth of experience after his career spells with Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, Trech FC of Slovakia, Plateau United and Abia Warriors FC.

The versatile striker went further to encourage supporters of the seven times champions to expect more from him, as they face one of his former teams, Plateau United in the match day 11 fixture on 10th November 2024.

"The should expect more from me because the team is now taking shape little by little".

"We will approach our next match, which happen to be against Plateau United, with the utmost hope of taking something positive from it".

"Don't forget that I once played for Plateau United Football Club".

Godwin Obaje, who was the 2016 NPFL top scorer with 18 goals, also reflected on the match against Nassarawa United, describing the NPFL team as a very good side.

Rangers International Football Club (The Coal City Flying Antelopes) is presently on the 5th position in the NPFL standings, with 15 points from 10 matches played.

The team is scheduled to face Plateau United FC of Jos in this weekend's match day 11 NPFL fixtures.

Nassarawa United FC with 12 points, are currently 14th in the 2024 / 2025 NPFL standing after match day 10, and they are scheduled to host Kwara United FC of Ilorin in a North Central derby.
