Abia Warriors experienced winger, Paul Sampson has downplayed the mixed feelings of facing his former club, Kwara United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abia Warriors will host Kwara United in a Matchday six 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, encounter at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

The Cross River-born winger is optimistic of securing the maximum points against his former side. "It's nothing special. It's the same thing but playing against my former club is what you just have to look upon. It's a normal game. I just believe we will be victorious.

"If Kwara United comes here, I am sure that we will defeat them because the winning mentality is there now. We don't have any reason to lose any game in Umuahia Township Stadium. I strongly believe we will come out victorious."
