The management of reigning NPFL champions Rangers International has thrown the gates open to fans and supporters for the match day 16, NPFL 2024/2025 fixture against visiting Rivers United on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the club, this gesture is to celebrate the festive period with the loyal and ever-present supporters of the club who have always been there for the team through thick and thin.

In a memo from the office of the CEO, Amobi Ezeaku Esq, the management described the gesture as one that is meant to appreciate and celebrate the yuletide season for the fans and supporters.

“We extend our warm gratitude for your support for Rangers International F.C this season. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire our players and management,” the statement reads in part.

“As a token of our appreciation and in celebration of the Yuletide season, we are pleased to announce free entry for our upcoming match against Rivers United on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 4:00 pm. This is our way of saying thank you for standing by us. We also call on all fans to maintain civility and uphold the sanctity of our beloved Cathedral. Let us create an atmosphere of unity, respect, and true sportsmanship as we cheer our team to victory.”

Last season, it was Kazeem Ogunleye’s well-struck free kick that settled the encounter on January 24, 2024, and the coach Fidelis Ilechukwu tutored side will be looking to extend its unbeaten run this term that has been stretched to eight matches and bridge the gap at the top of the log.
