NPFL 25: State Govt Worried Over Nasarawa United Poor Form

Nasarawa State government has decried the poor form of the state-owned team in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Emmanuel Akabe, on Monday, convened an emergency meeting with key stakeholders of Nasarawa United following the team's shocking 0-1 home loss to Kwara United.
According to the Deputy Governor, the inconsistency of the Solid Miners in the League, particularly the recent home loss to Kwara United on Sunday, is unacceptable.
"This meeting is necessitated by the loss yesterday(Sunday) to Kwara United. His Excellency, the Governor and my principal, is very upset about this and has directed me to convene this meeting to find a way through for our club.
"The loss and poor run of form by the Club is unacceptable, and we must take drastic measures to restore our team's competitiveness.
"We will work round the clock to ensure that our players and team members receive the best support and resources to excel", Akabe stated in part.
The Deputy Governor tasked the stakeholders involved to ensure the implementation of the agreed-upon action plan.
He disclosed that the State Government would convene a follow-up meeting to assess progress and address any lingering concerns.
