NPFL 25: Tornadoes Midfielder Relishes Opportunity Of Facing His Home Team

Niger Tornadoes midfielder, Ifeanyi Okechukwu said he is eager to face Abia Warriors when the two teams file out in this weekend's NPFL Match Day 16 tie at the Umuahia Township Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Bendel Insurance and Sokoto United midfielder Ifeanyi is relishing the chance to face his home team.

"This is a special feeling for me and I'm excited to play in front of my people. Abia Warriors have some young and exciting players in their fold. I know it's going to be a tough match but we are ready for the challenge."

Ifeanyi has churned out impressive performances in the colours of the Ikon Allah Boys since joining from Sokoto United during the close season, scored his first NPFL goal against Plateau United in Jos and expressed optimism of getting another positive result on the road this weekend.

Niger Tornadoes are only 3 points ahead of Abia Warriors going into this weekend's encounter.
